FERAL is an experimental creative studio that develops its own material language as a foundation for design.

What began as an exploration into transforming overlooked organic matter into new material possibilities has evolved into Materials by FERAL — a growing body of translucent, flexible and textural surfaces embedded within the studio’s spatial and object-based work.

Rather than sourcing existing industrial materials, FERAL formulates its own compositions to investigate light diffusion, organic pigmentation and soft structural behaviour. Produced in adaptable sheet formats, the system allows variations in opacity, density and chromatic intensity, enabling diverse spatial atmospheres and nuanced levels of light filtration. Each iteration expands the studio’s material vocabulary and informs its design direction.

These materials are not conceived as standalone commodities, but as design instruments — enabling lighting pieces, partitions and spatial interventions defined by a coherent and distinctive material identity.

Operating between experimentation and application, FERAL works at the intersection of sustainability, sensory perception and contemporary spatial culture.
